Erica from Ambiance Chic Wedding Designs

Last Tuesday Rob and I spend the afternoon with Erica Kates. Erica is the owner of Ambiance Chic Wedding Design – a wedding planning studio that specializes in helping you find your specific wedding style and helping you make it a reality. Since we first met Erica in July she has blown us away with how quickly her business has grown. Not that we were very surprised, it was clear even then that she was going to do amazing work. We’ll be photographing several of the weddings she’s planning in 2009. We can’t wait to see what she’ll be doing for all of them.

Erica has an energy about her that is contagious – she had us laughing the whole afternoon. We found a cool brick building on the beach and Erica didn’t hesitate to trudge through the snow-covered sand in her awesome high heels. Since it was VERY chilly we decided to head indoors for the rest of the shoot – thankfully we found some really fun locations.

Erica recently opened a store front in downtown Manchester – if you’re in the area you should definitely make an appointment to visit it and sit down with her and her staff. In the meantime here are some of our favorite photos from her session!

Candice from Jubilee Events

Last week we had the pleasure of photographing Candice, owner of Jubilee Events – an event planning boutique. Rob went to high school with Candice, they reconnected through Facebook about a year ago. We are always looking to help out fellow wedding vendors, so we have been working with Candice ever since. Plus, she’s getting married herself in August and we just so happen to be photographing her wedding. (She already started talking to us about some awesome ideas she had for her own engagement session – we are psyched!)

Candice arrived looking fabulous – even color-coordinated with her company branding (pink and purple), clearly attention to detail is one of her many strengths. We spent the morning drinking coffee and talking before starting the shoot – she was blowing us away with her great ideas. Check out her blog if you get a chance, she’s always talking about great new vendors (even interviewing some), suggesting unique touches to make your day your own, and even drink recipes for your receptions. She is even currently making custom holiday invitations – check them out HERE.

Here are just some of our favorite pictures from her session. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Aidan’s Birthday Portraits & Gabe’s Police Academy Graduation

It has been a busy weekend for us down in Jersey. I was asked to take some portraits of Aidan (Kathleen’s godson) for his 2nd birthday coming up in March. He is at the age where he is now becoming aware of the camera in turn really giving me a challenge. That being said, he is still a ton of fun to photograph. I can’t believe how quickly he is growing up.

In addition to taking some portraits of Aidan, I was also asked to take some portraits of our friend Gabe (Aidan’s dad) who just graduated from the police academy. I took some of him in front of a backdrop (very formally) as well as some more relaxed photos outside.

Below are some of my favorites from what I photographed today. Tomorrow (Sunday) I will be meeting up with a great couple, Laura & Chris for their engagement session. Be sure to check back for some pictures from their session. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Simply Put… Beautiful

Here are a few shots of my fiancé, Kathleen, which I took recently. We took semi-formal, fun shots on the stairs in our entry way to our place. Kathleen is incredibly beautiful and photographs wonderfully. I always tell everyone that I am the lucky one; these photographs truly prove my point.
